WELCOME TO MEMBERS OF:

I will say a quick little something about me to kind of introduce myself. I love orchids, I have been dabbling for a about two years and have just in the last year got, what I think of, as 'really' into it. Seems there is a bit of a cultish phenomenon around the little guys, and I think that's great, I can see why, they really have some kind of magnetic pull on the right kind of personality.

I have a little dog and two kitties. I don't have any exotic pets though I think they are amazing, I just recently took my first trip to the vivarium in Berkeley (spelling, eesh could be embarrasing?) and was marveled esp. by some of the chameleons, geckos, and frogs, well and the snakes, and I guess also the turtles, looks like it turns out I loved it all. Anyway, they are all great but I'm not in a position to have any exotic pets right now, esp. with two cats (hmmm, doesn't seem like a good idea at all).

That will have to be all for now, did I mention I'm a full time student with a semi-obsessive personality (though I was tempted to check the pornstar box under occupation, so nice of the creators of this site to leave it open as an option)? Summer midterms this week. It keeps me pretty busy. I began in the design department and have fairly recently picked up a second major Art History, which I LOVE as well.

That's it for now. So nice to have found this little online jem, I hope there are lots of people out there who will be willing to talk orchids with me!

Thank you very much PixieStar! I am studying to be a Master Gardener. I also was going to pick the pornstar box. Lol!! How was your weekend?

My weekend was good. I'm in summer session courses so it could have been better. I am a design student with an emphasis in visual comm. (usually called graphic design) who picked up a second major in art history last year. Whew, I am ready to be getting out of school and not writing papers in the summer time, ick. Haha. The highlight of my weekend was coming across my new zygopetalum! I'm totally enthused about it. How about you, how was your weekend?

My weekend was excellent! I made a major discovery. Me and some friends have been searching for a variegated sea grape plant.  T hey are extremely rare. We found one this weekend.  It is unbelievable.  I will do a post soon with some pictures.  Also we found lots of other rare plants that I will also do posts on shortly.  All in all this weekend was the best weekend I have had in a really long time!
